Out of the technology industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 23.96% share in May 2021, recording an increase of 4.02% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.21% in May 2021, a 17.28% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 19.07% share, an increase of 137.5% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 13.43%, registering an 189.19% rise from April 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 10.79%, up 10.26% over the previous month.
Top five technology companies in Philippines IT recruitment activity in May 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 75.16% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines technology industry during May 2021 over April 2021.
International Business Machines posted 227 IT jobs in May 2021 and registered a rise of 77.34% over the previous month, followed by Oracle with 140 jobs and a 35.92% growth. Xchanging with 98 IT jobs and RingCentral with 41 jobs, recorded a 68.97% growth and a 583.33% increase, respectively, while Capgemini recorded a 146.67% an increase with 37 job postings during May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.29%, up by 40.74% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with an 11.04% share, a decline of 20% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.53% share, up 183.33% over April 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 4.14%, recording a month-on-month an increase of 106.25%.
