IT jobs claimed a 13.43% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 1.09% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops AT&T IT hiring in May 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AT&T, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 65.46% in May 2021, and a 76.9% growth over April 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 27.4% in May 2021, and registered a 132.09% an increase. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 2.91% in May 2021, a 120% rise from April 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at AT&T

North America emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in May 2021 with an 85.11% share, which marked a 96.74% growth over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 11.37%, registering a 95.45% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 2.82% share and a 5.88% drop over April 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.7% and a month-on-month an increase of 166.67%.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with an 83.88% share in May 2021, a 96.69% growth over April 2021. India featured next with an 11.28% share, up 93.94% over the previous month.United Kingdom recorded a 1.5% share, decline of 19.05% compared with April 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead AT&T IT hiring activity in May 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.67%, up by 110.84% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with a 35.68% share, a growth of 64.63% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.56% share, up 107.14% over April 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.09%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
