Accenture and Google Cloud have announced the creation of the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group, a global initiative aimed at supporting businesses with the rollout and scaling of agentic AI and data solutions.

The group forms part of the existing Accenture Google Business Group and is intended to address the increasing demand for agentic AI among enterprise clients.

It will combine Accenture’s certified professionals in Gemini Enterprise and forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) with specialised Google Cloud engineering staff and deep sector and functional expertise.

The aim is to provide clients with measurable outcomes from their investments in agentic AI and data projects.

Accenture chair and CEO Julie Sweet said: “The companies seeing the greatest outcomes from AI are unlocking new growth, increasing productivity and resilience, and creating better experiences for their customers and employees.

“The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will help clients achieve these outcomes faster, bringing together the talent, advanced AI and data capabilities, and industry expertise needed to reinvent with confidence and create value at scale.”

The group is set to extend Accenture’s base of nearly 50,000 professionals skilled in Google Cloud technologies. It also plans to further develop Gemini Enterprise training and certification and to introduce a dedicated 1,000-person FDE workforce.

The group will operate across the full Gemini Enterprise portfolio. It will prioritise increasing adoption of Gemini Enterprise, developing industry-specific solutions, bridging the gap between AI experimentation and wider transformation, and driving user adoption at scale.

The initiative builds upon the companies’ prior work together, including a joint Generative and Agentic AI Centre of Excellence and the Gemini Enterprise Acceleration Programme.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said: “Deploying agentic AI is a top priority for enterprises today, and the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group significantly expands the expertise and resources available to help our customers deliver real business value.

“Building on the success we’ve seen with world’s leading brands, we’re combining Google Cloud’s full-stack AI capabilities with Accenture’s deep industry expertise to deliver transformation at scale.”

Last month, Accenture agreed to acquire COMWARE, a technology services provider for mid-market businesses in Japan, in a move to support the growth of its recently launched Accenture Edge mid-market business.

Prior to that, Accenture announced an agreement to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner serving mid-market companies. Following completion of the deal, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, enhancing the latter’s capacity to support operational modernisation, AI adoption, and growth in this segment.
