The city of a hundred spires has a proud history of serving its nation’s cuisine, including favorites such as beef and pork dumplings, rice and potato side dishes, the classic Smažený Sýr (fried cheese) and Hungarian-influenced Guláš. With the regional fare certainly a highlight of dining in Prague, a great number of superb international restaurants have touched down in Prague in recent years. In the Four Seasons Prague, CottoCrudo’s kitchen delivers the most refined Italian dishes in the capital. Modern Italian fare, including fresh seafood and homemade pasta, is served in a stylish urban setting. Executive Chef Leonardo Di Clemente puts a modern twist on his Italian background for a taste of “Little Italy in Prague.” During warmer summer days the restaurant will open its doors and invite guests outside to enjoy lunch or dinner on the picturesque riverside terrace.

The Alcron

 Opened in 1932, the jazzy, intimate setting of The Alcron still has the old-world feel today. In the Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, the restaurant seats only 24 guests to serve a coveted degustation menu. Under Chef Roman Paulus, the Michelin-starred restaurant is known for its seafood dishes ranging from four to seven courses to include the likes of scallop ceviche, tuna sashimi, lobster bisque and slow cooked octopus.

La Degustation Boheme Bourgeoise

Truly one of the finest restaurants in the Czech capital, La Dégustation’s philosophy is “small, thought-provoking meals that arouse the sense.” The seasonal menu, crafted with local Czech produce, is served as six or eleven courses. Executive Chef Oldřich Sahajdák creates dishes like radish with Prague ham and cauliflower as well as calf tripe with capers and black trumpet mushrooms in a nod to the regional cuisine.

La Finestra

Since Chef Riccardo Lucque’s second restaurant, La Finestra, opened in 2009 it has taken Prague by storm. The restaurant has an open kitchen where Executive Chef Tomáš Černý shows off his expertise in creating some of the best Italian dishes in town. Guests have the option to book La Finestra’s exclusive and private room, located in its extensive wine cellar. In 2012 the chefs opened La Bottega di Finestra, an Italian bistro with a shop for Italian pastries, wines, meats and cheeses.


At Field restaurant, Executive Chef Radek Kašpárek focuses on food in its natural form. This one-Michelin-starred restaurant emphasizes the raw origins of ingredients, serving modern cuisine that is as simplistic as its is delicious. The restaurant features an a la carte menu as well as a tasting menu, with the first including cod, homemade cheese and guinea fowl, and the latter comprising crayfish, squid and lamb.


Another Italian experience from Riccardo Lucque, Aromi centers on seafood, sourcing ingredients and products from small suppliers in Italy. Riccardo introduces the best of Italian cuisine to the Prague dining scene, serving dishes like scampi, octopus broth and ricotta gnocchi with salted cod. An outdoor dining area welcomes guests during the warmer months, where you can enjoy a glass from the wine list of more than 300 Italian labels.

Siddharta Café

Siddharta Café Bold, vibrant colors are stunningly applied in the Siddharta Café – an exciting restaurant-bar-lounge located in the Buddha-Bar Hotel. The chef creates contemporary, sophisticated menus offering a range of Euro-Asian dishes that perfectly complement the Pop-Art atmosphere. Turquoise chairs framed in black, warm tangerine walls and dramatic light fixtures are all part of the appeal. A five-course degustation menu is served with recommend wines, comprising fried tiger prawns, tom yam and striploin steak to name a few.

Coda Restaurant

Coda restaurantThe Aria Hotel’s Coda restaurant, under the direction of Executive Chef David Šašek, offers delicious and sumptuous cuisine. Guests can savor innovative international flavors accompanied by a wide selection of wines in an intimate atmosphere. During the summer, rooftop dining is a popular option at the Coda Roof Garden Terrace for views of Prague. Alternatively, the Winter Garden is the perfect setting for a more relaxed setting. The restaurant is decorated with paintings and sculptures and further embraces the arts with live piano performances every evening from Tuesday to Saturday.


In the Mandarin Oriental Prague, Executive Chef Zdeněk Křížek conjures dishes Asian dishes to be paired with signature cocktails. A former monastery, the restaurant features a vaulted ceiling and sleek, contemporary decor. At Spices, courses are served family-style with a lunch Bento box menu and sushi menu also available. The a la carte menu is separated by region, with South-East Asia including prawns pad thai noodles, the North-East with peking duck, and the South-West with tandoori baked chicken.


Located in the Corinthia hotel, Rickshaw restaurant specializes in Far-East cuisine in an Eastern-inspired atmosphere. Dishes range from mild spice to very hot, for the more adventurous diner. Try the Discovery Menu for the best of what the kitchen has to offer, including lab mu of Laos and satay sarai of Malaysia.

La Rotonde Restaurant

Also in the Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, La Rotonde is an elegant Art Deco-inspired restaurant serving a delectable choice of international cuisine and traditional local dishes. Chef Roman Paulus’s Degustation Menu is made up of five or six courses with locally-sourced seasonal ingredients. Dishes include smoked catfish, beef tartar and barley risotto.
