E3 2018 conference schedule e3 2018 rumours

Confirmed:

  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – Another title that was revealed in Walmart Canada’s leak and subsequently confirmed. This new entry in the series will take the assassins back to Ancient Greece, but that’s all we know. Given the title, there’s a chance that it could be set on the mythical voyage of Odysseus. However, given Assassin’s Creed titles are usually based on real history, that may not be the case.
  • Starlink: Battle For Atlas – This quirky sci-fi title was announced last year, and since then Ubisoft hasn’t said anything. It’s quite an interesting concept as players must build spaceships from real-world toys which then appear in the games. Originally Starlink was a children’s game, but Ubisoft noted its positive reception. As a result, it is now aiming for a more broad demographic.
  • Beyond Good And Evil 2 – Having been in development since the original launched in 2003, Beyond Good And Evil 2 has been long awaited. Ubisoft finally unveiled it at last year’s E3 with no release window. It could be ready to go, it could be another long wait. But we know it’s going to be there, at the very least.
  • The Division 2 – The first game in this new Tom Clancy series was warmly-received, so expect big things here. A massive collaboration between tonnes of Ubisoft’s studios around the world, this game is going to be top-tier. The sequel is likely to take many cues from the original, a third-person shooter and stealth game, but aside from that we know nothing.

Almost certain:

  • Far Cry 5 DLC – There are three pieces of DLC being planned for Far Cry 5, and so far only one of them has made an appearance. We can almost certainly expect to see a few more details on the other two additions before E3 is done.
  • The Crew 2 – This has been available as a closed beta for a while now, and an open beta is rumoured to be coming soon. Either way, it’d be incredibly surprising if Ubisoft doesn’t at least mention it.
  • Mario + Rabbids Donkey Kong DLC – It was revealed months ago and since then Ubisoft has given no further updates. Expect to see this one, probably as a same-day download.

Rumours:

  • Splinter Cell – Another of the titles leaked by Walmart Canada. Still, this one arguably has the biggest question mark hanging over it. The title given by Walmart was just ‘Splinter Cell’ with no number of subtitle. As such, nothing about this game is known whatsoever. There have also been basically no rumours about its development. This would be a genuinely huge surprise. Still, there’s always room for huge surprises at E3, so keep an eye out.

On the next page we’ll share details on what to expect from Sony at E3 2018.
