Kyndryl has announced an expanded partnership with Broadcom aimed at delivering consulting services for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to enterprises adopting private and hybrid cloud environments.
The development is intended to provide organisations with increased automation, security, and speed as they modernise systems to support AI adoption.

Through this extended collaboration, Kyndryl and Broadcom are focusing on building what they describe as “AI-ready” private clouds.
These environments are designed to address operational complexity, regulatory compliance, and the increasing security risks posed by AI-driven threats.
As part of the agreement, both firms are investing in training several thousand Kyndryl consultants, architects, and delivery specialists in VCF skills to enhance service delivery and support agentic workflows.

The announcement comes as many companies assess how to manage the risks and requirements of AI, particularly as rapid advances in AI models have accelerated the identification of security vulnerabilities.
According to Kyndryl, effective protection now requires private clouds designed with policy guardrails and secure operational processes in place before workloads are deployed.
Under the partnership, Kyndryl is providing advisory, architecture, upgrade, and operational support for VCF and VMware Tanzu, addressing both virtual machine and containerised workloads.
The company aims to assist customers in financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, government, and other regulated sectors in meeting their technology transformation goals.

Kyndryl also plans to incorporate its AI governance framework and cyber recovery capabilities into these private cloud offerings, aiming to manage the automation and recoverability of critical operations.
In July, Kyndryl broadened its sovereignty-focused offerings with Microsoft, introducing services designed to address data residency and operational demands for public sector and regulated organisations.
