Salesforce has confirmed it will invest $15bn in San Francisco, US, through the next five years, targeting AI development and workforce training.

The investment includes establishing an AI Incubator Hub at the Salesforce campus, with further funding for upskilling programmes and initiatives supporting business adoption of AI technologies.

The AI Incubator Hub is designed to support early-stage startups focused on AI applications, including those pursuing agentic enterprise models.

Company leaders announced these plans ahead of Dreamforce, Salesforce’s annual conference taking place between 14 October and 16 October 2025.

This latest investment follows a period of acquisitions and expansion by Salesforce within the Bay Area.

In recent years, the company has acquired MuleSoft, Slack, Airkit, Tenyx and PredictSpring, plus Bluebirds, Waii, and Regrello.

It has also signed a definitive agreement to acquire Informatica.

Salesforce has also developed its 4Rs playbook to facilitate enterprise transitions to the AI-driven workflows by redesigning work processes and reskilling employees for roles such as Agentic Data Specialist and AI Architect.

The company said that it continues to promote technical upskilling through Trailhead, a free online learning platform.

Career Connect, an AI-powered talent marketplace run by Salesforce, supports internal workforce development targeting emerging skill sets in AI.

Meanwhile, Salesforce Ventures remains active in the local technology investment landscape with interests in companies such as Anthropic, Fal, Pano and Together AI.

Recently, Salesforce announced a $1bn investment in its Mexican operations over the next five years, aimed at enhancing technical capacity and service delivery in the region.

The new Global Delivery Centre (GDC) will offer multilingual consulting in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, assisting clients across the Americas with Salesforce’s Agentforce platform.
