Notably, social media was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of cyber insurance and digitalization, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the technology industry, Meta Platforms had the greatest increase in references for social media in Q3 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 19 social media-related sentences in the company's filings - 0.5% of all sentences - and an increase of 138% in Q3 2023 compared with Q3 2022. ROBLOX’s mentions of social media rose by 75% to 14 and Sony Group’s by 86% to 13 and Delta Electronics’s by 13% to 9 and HCL Technologies’s by 167% to 8.
