Notably, social responsibility was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the technology industry, Sony Group had the greatest increase in references for social responsibility in Q3 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 358 social responsibility-related sentences in the company's filings - 9% of all sentences - and an increase of 8% in Q3 2023 compared with Q3 2022. HCL Technologies’s mentions of social responsibility rose by 145% to 287 and Samsung Electronics’s by 548% to 201 and ASE Technology’s by 3% to 183 and Taiwan Mobile’s by 4% to 133.
