Out of the technology industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 48.06% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 11.68% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 80.2% in July 2021, a 33.05% drop over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 9.12% share, decline of 15.35% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 5.36%, registering a 41.85% decline from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.66%, down 43.85% over the previous month.
Top five technology companies in Switzerland IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 32.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland technology industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
DXC Technology posted 1,805 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 34.17% over the previous month, followed by Swisscom with 42 jobs and a 5% growth. Comet with 33 IT jobs and SoftwareONE with 17 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a 142.86% increase, respectively, while Cognizant Technology Solutions recorded a flat growth with 11 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.29%, down by 32.63% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.79% share, a decline of 32.55% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.82% share, down 33% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.1%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
