Tech Mahindra will incorporate the BAIC platform into its Agentic AI Factory to facilitate the development, deployment and management of small-language models, AI agents and sector-specific solutions.

Uniphore’s BAIC is designed to unify enterprise data, knowledge, models and AI agents, while embedding security and governance to enable scalable agentic AI across real business workflows.

Agentic AI refers to systems capable of reasoning, planning and autonomously executing multi-step tasks.

According to Uniphore and Tech Mahindra, combining a proven agentic platform with large-scale implementation expertise will support enterprises seeking to operationalise AI and achieve measurable business outcomes beyond the experimental phase.

The partnership will initially target two sectors. In retail, both companies will co-develop solutions for strategic sourcing, focusing on procurement workflows, supplier intelligence and cost optimisation.

In the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector, initial efforts will address unclaimed benefits and claims processing, where accuracy, compliance and speed are seen as critical.

Uniphore and Tech Mahindra stated that their approach is designed to provide enterprises with practical and scalable AI solutions tailored to specific domain needs.

Uniphore chief revenue officer Carl Borsody said: “Tech Mahindra brings domain expertise across 90 countries and 1,100+ global clients.

“Together, we are combining Tech Mahindra’s expertise with our Business AI Cloud that brings the sovereign, composable foundation to extend an Agentic AI Factory into a repeatable delivery motion, starting in BFSI and Retail and reaching additional industries and regions from there.”

While the immediate focus is on retail and BFSI, the Agentic AI Factory model is intended to expand to additional industries and geographies in the future. This is intended to support AI-driven transformation initiatives across Tech Mahindra’s global client base.

Tech Mahindra business process services president Birendra Sen said: “Enterprises are increasingly looking to move beyond generic AI to solutions that are deeply contextual, domain-aware, and outcome-driven.

“Our partnership with Uniphore builds on our efforts in that direction. This partnership will enable our clients to accelerate AI adoption with precision, unlocking tangible business value across key sectors like BFSI and Retail.”

Recent weeks have seen Tech Mahindra enter other partnerships within the AI and digital transformation landscape.

Earlier this week, Vodafone Business announced a collaboration with Tech Mahindra to deliver technology propositions to UK enterprise customers. This partnership combines Vodafone Business’s digital infrastructure with Tech Mahindra’s expertise in AI-led transformation, digital engineering, systems integration and managed services, and will leverage technologies such as AI, automation, private 5G, IoT, cloud and data.

Last week, Tech Mahindra and ServiceNow announced an expanded multi-year partnership aimed at helping enterprises scale AI deployments from pilot to production. This includes using ServiceNow’s AI Platform alongside Tech Mahindra’s transformation and implementation expertise to deliver industry-specific solutions for sectors including manufacturing, telecommunications, BFSI, media and technology.

Tech Mahindra will also establish an AI and Innovation Centre of Excellence within its ServiceNow practice to accelerate AI capability deployment.
