Capgemini’s IT hiring activity increases 2.8% in May 2021

France-based company Capgemini’s IT hiring an increased 2.8% in May 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 1.17% in May 2021 when compared with April 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 38.75% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 0.65% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Capgemini IT hiring in May 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Capgemini, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 55.64% in May 2021, and an 18.46% growth over April 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 33.36% in May 2021, and registered a 7.58% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 5.67% in May 2021, a 25.22% drop from April 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Capgemini

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in May 2021 with a 61.96% share, which marked a 4.95% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 25.35%, registering a 55.98% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 10.91% share and a 13.58% drop over April 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.05% and a month-on-month an increase of 18.52%.South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.73%, registering a 37.5% rise over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 58.9% share in May 2021, a 6.93% decline over April 2021. the US featured next with a 21.85% share, up 56.74% over the previous month.France recorded a 5.31% share, decline of 27.8% compared with April 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Capgemini IT hiring activity in May 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.81%, up by 9.32% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with a 34.05% share, a decline of 3.46% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.14% share, up 18.18% over April 2021.
