France-based company Capgemini’s IT hiring increased 3.8% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.12% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 34.29% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.8% down over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Capgemini IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Capgemini, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 78.12% in July 2021, and a 3.06% growth over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 9.07% in July 2021, and registered a 3.68% increase. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.56% in July 2021, a 15.29% drop from June 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Capgemini
North America emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 38.22% share, which marked a 7.03% growth over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 33.2%, registering a 14.43% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 23.42% share and a 2.82% growth over June 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.57% and a month-on-month increase of 108.82%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.58%, registering an 800% rise over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 30.82% share in July 2021, a 6.68% growth over June 2021. France featured next with a 20.53% share, down 9.12% over the previous month. India recorded a 20.01% share, decline of 6.61% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Capgemini IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.44%, up by 1.98% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 37.71% share, a decline of 1.84% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.73% share, flat growth over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.13%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
