Cloudflare has announced the beta release of Radar Researcher, an AI tool designed to make internet traffic and trend data accessible using plain language queries.
The new offering enables users to pose questions and receive answers in the form of interactive charts, without needing to navigate complex datasets or APIs.

Radar Researcher has been integrated directly into every Cloudflare Radar page. Users can open the panel from the header to start a conversation while continuing to browse the site.
The system interprets queries posed in everyday language and delivers data visualisations drawn from Cloudflare’s global network, covering areas such as DNS queries, HTTP traffic, and network quality.
According to Cloudflare, Radar Researcher is built entirely on its own developer platform. It employs Cloudflare Workers and the Cloudflare Agents SDK to power conversations, using a chain of open language models.
The tool connects directly with the company’s APIs for data retrieval, enabling responses that are backed by live figures rather than estimations.
The new tool aims to lower barriers for a wide user base, including journalists, human rights advocates, academic researchers, and network operators.
Cloudflare highlighted that users no longer need to understand dataset structures or technical documentation to obtain insights.
Features include the ability to select the level of detail, save and revisit conversation history, and share answers via expiring links.
The system also offers follow-up question suggestions and allows users to check how their queries were interpreted and answered.
The functionality extends to existing charts on Radar, where users can access AI-generated explanations relevant to specific visualisations.
Under the hood, the model processes chart images, pulls precise data sets, and considers user-selected filters such as location and date range to tailor responses.
Cloudflare noted that small supporting AI models generate titles for conversations and propose follow-up questions without delaying main responses.
The company reports that Radar Researcher’s development uses the same infrastructure and AI tools available to other developers on the Cloudflare platform.
Radar Researcher is currently available in beta on Cloudflare Radar, with plans for ongoing expansion of supported datasets and analysis capabilities.
Earlier this month, Cloudflare introduced Cloudflare Wallets and cloudflare.pay, two tools aimed at addressing identity and payment challenges as AI agents complete online transactions.
