US-based company Dell Technologies’s IT hiring declined 5.5% in May 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 6.95% in May 2021 when compared with April 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 36.14% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 0.37% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Dell Technologies IT hiring in May 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Dell Technologies, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 76.73% in May 2021, and a 9.98% drop over April 2021, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 12.36% in May 2021, and registered an 11.74% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 3.86% in May 2021, a 19.61% drop from April 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Dell Technologies

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in May 2021 with a 40.53% share, which marked a 13.97% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 37.14%, registering a 6.06% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 12.98% share and a 20.23% drop over April 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 5.22% and a month-on-month decline of 13.95%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 4.14%, registering a 23.94% rise over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 34.51% share in May 2021, an 8.59% decline over April 2021. India featured next with a 27.83% share, down 20.96% over the previous month.Bulgaria recorded a 4.56% share, decline of 44.25% compared with April 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Dell Technologies IT hiring activity in May 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.2%, down by 11.62% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with a 32.39% share, a decline of 9.1% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.08% share, down 14.96% over April 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.33%, recording a month-on-month an flat growth.
