E3 2018 conference schedule e3 2018 rumours

Confirmed:

  • Anthem – A new sci-fi game from BioWare teased at last year’s E3. EA already issued confirmation that this one would popping up at E3. It will see players exploring a post-apocalyptic world full of monsters while wearing mechanical exo-suits.

Almost certain:

  • Battlefield V – After announcing it a few weeks ago, it’d be incredibly surprising not to see EA putting Battlefield V front and centre for its E3 presentation. This classic war game takes players back to World War II where they’ll play as British and German soldiers in a fight for survival. Expect to see some kind of battle royale mode, since those are all the rage in the world of first-person shooter games at the moment.
  • EA Sports titles: Just as you can expect the sun to rise and set each day, you can always expect EA Sports to churn out some new titles. Expect to see new updates for all your favourites. These will include FIFA 2019, Madden NFL 2019, NHL 2019, NBA 2019. Don’t expect too many surprises here.
  • The Sims 4: Seasons – Seeing as The Sims 4 is a huge money spinner for EA and we know the popular Seasons expansion pack is out in the next few weeks, you can probably expect to see this one making an appearance

Rumours:

  • A new Star Wars game and/or new Star Wars: Battlefront 2 DLC – EA still holds the Star Wars license and its still a lucrative one (in spite of waning interest in the franchise) so we can probably expect to see a new title. Rumour has it a studio called Respawn is working on something, but who really knows. If not, there’s always the pre-existing Star Wars: Battlefront 2 as a handy cash cow. In spite of all the drama around loot boxes at the moment, EA is probably going to keep working on making this one happen.
  • Plants Vs. Zombies title – It’s been a while since the last entry in this mobile series, so there’s a good chance it could pop up again.
  • An EA Originals indie title – It’s anyone’s guess what this could look like, but its been a while since we heard from EA Originals, so expect the unexpected here.

On the next page we’ll share what to expect from Microsoft‘s conference.
