Germany technology industry registered a 2.1% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.97% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the technology industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 19.76% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.37% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany technology industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany technology industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.97% in July 2021, a 9.13% drop over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 11.31% share, decline of 11.4% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.73%, registering a 20% rise from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 5.38%, up 65.52% over the previous month.

Top five technology companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 5.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany technology industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

SAP posted 66 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 3.13% over the previous month, followed by Infineon Technologies with 39 jobs and a 105.26% growth. TIM with 36 IT jobs and Deutsche Telekom with 35 jobs, recorded a 12.2% drop and a 22.22% decline, respectively, while International Business Machines recorded a 10.71% an increase with 31 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.17%, down by 6.98% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.19% share, a growth of 2.37% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.41% share, down 16.96% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.23%, recording a month-on-month increase of 37.5%.
