Accenture and Snowflake have announced the formation of the Accenture Snowflake Business Group, expanding their collaboration to help enterprises adopt generative AI and data-driven solutions.

The partnership aims to assist organisations in transforming business models using cloud technology, AI, and data.

This support is enabled by platforms such as Accenture AI Refinery and recent Snowflake innovations, including Snowflake Intelligence and Snowflake Cortex AI.

Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy said: “The Accenture Snowflake Business Group combines Accenture’s industry-leading business reinvention experience with Snowflake’s enterprise-ready, easy, connected, and trusted platform.

“This collaboration enables enterprises to achieve their full potential with AI and data, transforming how they harness data to build next-generation AI-powered applications, drive better decision-making, and maximise their data’s potential for AI innovation.”

Industrial equipment manufacturer Caterpillar is working with both companies to leverage its operational data for manufacturing quality, finance insights, and knowledge management.

This collaboration brings together Caterpillar’s IT AI Centre of Excellence (COE), Accenture’s experience in industrial manufacturing and global delivery, and Snowflake’s AI capabilities. It is expected to accelerate Caterpillar’s transition to enterprise-wide AI and data use.

Caterpillar chief information officer Jamie Engstrom said: “Our work with Accenture and Snowflake marks a major step forward in our journey to become a truly AI-and-data-driven organisation.

“Our collaboration, coupled with the Caterpillar IT AI COE, will allow us to make faster, data-informed decisions that improve efficiency, enhance quality, and deliver greater value.”

Accenture research revealed that 85% of c-suite executives plan to increase AI investments this year, while 67% see AI mainly as a driver of revenue growth rather than only as a cost-cutting tool.

The newly established business group will create a global Centre of Excellence, where dedicated teams from Accenture and Snowflake will work directly with clients to implement new technologies and co-develop solutions.

The group will utilise Accenture’s industry expertise and ecosystem relationships along with Snowflake’s scalable AI Data Cloud platform to facilitate custom data strategies for clients.

Accenture chief strategy and services officer Manish Sharma said: “In today’s rapidly evolving market, companies are under immense pressure to reinvent their operations and business models to stay ahead.

“The Accenture Snowflake Business Group will help clients to better leverage Snowflake’s unique foundation of reliable, accessible, contextualised data, coupled with Accenture’s ability to unlock the power of advanced AI for clients faster.”
