US-based company Oracle’s IT hiring an increased 16.9% in May 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 16.49% in May 2021 when compared with April 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 47.19% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 2.85% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Oracle IT hiring in May 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Oracle, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 63.99% in May 2021, and a 6.53% drop over April 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 13.97% in May 2021, and registered a flat growth. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 9.86% in May 2021, a 36.46% rise from April 2021.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in May 2021 with a 73.41% share, which marked a 30.52% growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 20.12%, registering a 30.1% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 6.31% share and a 50.16% drop over April 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.16% and a month-on-month decline of 83.33%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 67.62% share in May 2021, a 41.05% growth over April 2021. the US featured next with a 19.6% share, down 9.24% over the previous month.Philippines recorded a 5.59% share, an increase of 35.92% compared with April 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Oracle IT hiring activity in May 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.48%, down by 7.79% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.23% share, a growth of 20.11% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 7.78% share, down 17.37% over April 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 5.51%, recording a month-on-month an increase of 115.63%.
