Sweden-based company Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson’s IT hiring declined 1.5% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 0.48% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 42.01% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 1.22% down over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 68.35% in July 2021, and a 4.94% drop over June 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 25.57% in July 2021, and registered a 15.21% decline. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 2.87% in July 2021, a 21.88% drop from June 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 45.07% share, which marked an 8.39% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 39.79%, registering a 5.19% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with an 11.81% share and a 5.5% drop over June 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.06% and a month-on-month increase of 12.5%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.26%, registering a 65.63% drop over the previous month.
China commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 17.89% share in July 2021, a 4.88% decline over June 2021. India featured next with an 11.7% share, up 4.08% over the previous month. Hungary recorded a 9.06% share, an increase of 16.18% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.43%, down by 8.27% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.1% share, a decline of 8.46% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.47% share, down 7.41% over June 2021.
