The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.37% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the technology industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 25.09% share in August 2021, recording a decrease of 0.65% over the last three-month average share.

Top five technology companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 80.77% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s technology industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Capgemini posted 172 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 27.41% over the previous month, followed by Open Text with 131 jobs and a flat growth. Vodafone Group with 123 IT jobs and Comcast with 115 jobs, recorded a 24.24% flat growth and a 12.75% flat growth, respectively, while Iron Mountain recorded an increase of 3400% with 70 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.73%, up by 17.26% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.78% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.61% share, down 16.92% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.88%, recording a month-on-month increase of 142.86%.
