The value marked an increase of 483.6% over the previous month and a rise of 61.6% when compared with the last 12-month average of $18.98bn.
The US held a 62.7% share of the global technology industry M&A deal value that totalled $48.93bn in June 2019.
In terms of deal activity, the US recorded 146 deals during June 2019, marking a decrease of 18.9% over the previous month and a drop of 24.4% over the 12-month average.

The US technology industry M&A deals in June 2019: Top deals
The top five technology industry M&A deals accounted for 96.5% of the overall value during June 2019.
The combined value of the top five technology industry M&A deals stood at $29.59bn, against the overall value of $30.67bn recorded for the month. The top announced technology industry M&A deal tracked by GlobalData in June 2019 was Salesforce.Com’s $15.7bn acquisition of Tableau Software.
In second place was the $10.05bn acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor by Infineon Technologies and in third place was Google’s $2.6bn acquisition of Looker Data Sciences.
The $661.19m merger of Nanometrics and Rudolph Technologies and Insight Enterprises’ acquisition of PCM for $581m held fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
