Quantinuum and Oracle have entered a multi-year strategic partnership that will place the quantum computing firm’s Helios system inside Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Helios will be installed in a US-based OCI AI data centre and offered as an OCI service.

Customers will reach the machine through OCI’s quantum service, using it alongside the platform’s high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU resources.
Oracle intends to open a preview of that quantum service in the coming months, allowing developers to move from simulation to run on quantum hardware.
As the system will sit within Oracle’s own infrastructure, the companies expect it to work with existing OCI compute, identity, networking, storage, and data services under the governance and access controls customers already apply.
Users would not need to buy, install or run dedicated hardware or specialist facilities.
The planned service is expected to pair Quantinuum’s development stack with support for open-source hybrid-programming frameworks.
Quantinuum president and CEO Rajeeb Hazra said: “We believe the next phase of enterprise computing will be shaped by bringing quantum, AI, and high-performance computing together.
“Deploying Helios inside OCI gives Quantinuum and Oracle an opportunity to create a unique deeply integrated environment for hybrid workloads, explore enterprise use cases with customers, and accelerate commercial adoption.”
Helios became commercially available in November 2025 and is the company’s third-generation machine.
The trapped-ion system has 98 physical qubits, has featured in demonstrations involving 48 logical qubits, and records an average two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.921%, above the commonly cited “three 9s” threshold.
Quantinuum estimates a single Helios system draws less than 1% of the power reported for leading supercomputers.
OCI executive vice president Mahesh Thiagarajan said: “AI has changed what organisations can imagine, and we believe quantum computing can expand what they’re able to solve.
“By bringing Quantinuum’s Helios to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, we want to give developers a practical and secure way to explore how quantum computing could complement their existing AI and HPC workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure while improving compute efficiency and energy use.”
The partners are targeting enterprise, AI laboratory, academic and research users in fields including drug discovery, materials science, financial modelling and large-scale optimisation.
In June, Quantinuum raised $1.68bn in its initial public offering after pricing the deal at 28 million shares at $60 each. Quantinuum had also lifted the size of the offering shortly before pricing, raising the number of shares on sale to 26.5 million before settling on the larger final figure of 28 million.
