Switzerland’s technology industry registered a 4.0% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.12% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the technology industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 53.34% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 1.11% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s technology industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.53% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s technology industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 79.13% in September 2021, registering a 1.66% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 10.97% share, an increase of 17.07% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 4.95%, registering a 26.14% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.73%, up 53.13% over the previous month.
Top five technology companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3.49% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s technology industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
DXC Technology posted 1,108 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 1.65% over the previous month, followed by Swisscom with 49 jobs and a 20.97% drop. NEC with 41 IT jobs and Comet with 31 jobs, recorded a 310% flat growth and a 6.06% decrease, respectively, while SoftwareONE recorded an increase of 114.29% with 15 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.57%, up by 0.21% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.43% share, registered an increase of 15.79% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8% share, up 1.94% over August 2021.
