Leidos, a US-based technology company, has secured a $738m contract from the US Air Force to provide IT and cybersecurity support.

The contract will see Leidos deliver IT and telecommunications support, including cybersecurity services, to the US Air Force and other related entities.

The latest contract, which is a follow-on engagement, builds on Leidos’ existing partnership with the US Air Force, dating back to 2003.

It is structured as a single-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a one-year base period of performance, followed by four one-year options and an additional six-month option.

Under the terms of the agreement, Leidos will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks  including cybersecurity measures, enterprise IT operations, IT asset management, and programme management.

Additionally, the company will provide plans, projects, and engineering services, all of which are vital for the smooth functioning of all Air Force components in the region, including the National Military Command Center.

Leidos digital modernisation sector president Steve Hull said: “We are committed to continue delivering secure, resilient technology solutions for the US Air Force. Leidos brings more than five decades of continuous support for the Air Force’s operating environment and a strong track record of improving operational effectiveness.

“We take great pride in securing critical, no-fail missions essential to our national security, and we are excited to keep advancing the Air Force mission together.”

In May 2024, ManTech was awarded a $110m contract by the US Air Force.

This three-year contract will see ManTech spearheading the transformation of data and enterprise architectures, consolidating and modernising platforms, and embedding AI into human capital business processes.
